Table Flag in Brass – The Swedish Flag

A classic and elegant table flag crafted in solid brass by Gusums Messing. The flag, made of cotton fabric, is mounted on a graceful brass flagpole with a sturdy round base.
The flagpole measures 45 cm in height, and the base has a diameter of 11 cm with a raised edge of 1.5 cm.
The base can be engraved, either on the top surface or discreetly along the edge.

The Swedish flag traces its origins back to the 16th century, when King Gustav Vasa carried a blue banner with a golden cross — colours taken from the royal coat of arms with the Three Crowns. The inspiration likely came from Denmark’s Dannebrog, yet Sweden chose its own colours: sky blue and golden yellow.

From the King’s ships to the people’s flag – since 1906, the blue and yellow cross flag has been officially established as Sweden’s national emblem.
Blue stands for faithfulness and the sky, while yellow symbolizes light and generosity.
On June 6, we celebrate both Sweden’s National Day and Swedish Flag Day – a tribute to our country, our history, and the proud symbol that unites us beneath the same blue and yellow cross.
