Munka Tenn introduces a small bonbonnière with a lapis lazuli stone on the lid
The bonbonnière measures 8 × 8 cm with a height of 4 cm. It is high-polished, made in Sweden, and designed by Fredrik Strömblad. A small yet distinctive object piece, where material, form, and craftsmanship take center stage.
Sweden has a long and living tradition of craftsmanship in the design and production of pewter. Through our own original designs, we aim to carry this tradition forward—keeping design, manufacturing, and finishing rooted in Sweden.
We have long chosen to work with restrained, clean lines—a design language that closely reflects the Swedish temperament. Combined with the exceptional skill of our pewter artisan, this has resulted in two exclusive boxes: one topped with a malachite finial, the other with lapis lazuli.
The development of this box has been ongoing throughout 2025. The process has required several decisive stages—from design and technical solutions that make the sharp lines and edges of the form possible, to sourcing carefully selected stones from distant lands, and finally bringing all components together into a harmonious whole.
We are proud to now launch this box in a numbered edition, with each piece signed by the designer and marked with the year—a contemporary handcrafted object created to be passed down through generations.
