Exquisite Lamp Base from the Qianlong Period

This magnificent lamp base from the Qianlong period is one of our absolute favourites. The porcelain is beautifully hand-painted with remarkable craftsmanship and attention to detail, making every glance a discovery.

The base rests on a hand-turned Swedish birch plinth, carefully stained several times and then lacquered to enhance the depth and lustre of the wood. The lamp stands 17.5 cm high.
